Coffee and Water for God is fire! Check out a joint that has been hidden for over 30 years, but is now surely becoming known in the county of San Bernardino, California. #Coffee #Water #JesusChrist #Travel #Review As you may know, RCH is always on the road, so we figured we should start looking for people and businesses to support since we are going to be out in public getting hungry and thirsty all the time. So let’s get it! #LetsGetIt This is a long form review…
You may be thinking, why “coffee” AND “water?” Isn’t water assumed to be IN coffee? Not Here… It’s both! The place is called Hebrews Coffee and Water. It's located at 8718 Baseline Rd, Alta Loma, CA 91701. It has been in the area for a ton of years, but only known for their water purifying and sales, mainly because there was previously no signage outside the store. Since they added the signs, coffee traffic has definitely increased reported a nice employee named Bo. Bo appeared to be the only employee working at about 10:30am on a Sunday (there was also a person wiping down furniture near the trash can, but they looked more like a caring regular, rather than an employee).
As I walked through the doors, Bo was simultaneously working the register, and making the coffee. Now the coffee side wasn’t too busy when I arrived, but the water side was steady with people coming in and out and waiting in line at the register to pay. It was bustling as I continued to watch a constant flow of people rolling around their carts to refill multiple 5 gallon bottles. Some people may think that the name “Hebrews” might just be referring to some “guy” brewing coffee (as thought by someone with a lowly Yelp review), but to believers, it is obviously a play on words; referring to a specific book in the Bible. There is no surprise there. Plus, it is spelled Hebrews (one word), not He brews (two words) so… It’s also obvious that this is definitely a Christian business when you walk in, because of all the knick-knacks offered for sale along the counter and display cases (that span about half the length of the store).
Okay... As I get off this platform, let’s transition to coffee… I asked for their most popular iced latte. Bo said it was the Caramel Macchiato, so that’s what I got. The coffee came through in taste and in the boldness of the espresso. It was not overshadowed by the other ingredients; that is a good thing. Unfortunately I didn’t get to ask Bo where they import their beans from (or if they roast their beans in house). Nonetheless, the beverage had an interesting finish that was akin to consuming espresso with a tiny dash of nectar from the drupe of a fruit stone as it connected with the palate, while also being introduced to each lingual papillae.
Just kidding… It was an awesome latte with a great blend of coffee, milk, and sweetener, ratioed really well by the barista. Because, do we really need all that fake coffee connoisseur fancy talk? I don't think so. All in all, it was a great tasting latte that should please coffee lovers from all nations, languages, and beliefs. Check this place out if you’re ever in the area. You won’t be disappointed.
